Creative Ej - Now With Two Locations
At Creative Ej you can experience music from start to finish, with instruction, rehearsal, live performance, all the way through recording your own CD or DVD in our recording studio. Creative Ej is the Charlotte area's leader in contemporary music education.
Locally owned, and conveniently located in Cornelius near Huntersville, Davidson, Mooresville, Lake Norman, University, and Northlake Mall, our state of the art facility, has the spirit, drive and energy like no other. This creates an amazing opportunity to network, play and perform together.
The Treynorth Drive facility offers private music lessons, band instruction, and group classes with computers and other high-tech equipment in each lesson room. Our recording studio and offices are also located at this location.
The Creative Ej Theater at the Palace in Kenton Place is a concert and event venue with live audio and video recording capabilities. We have also installed a basic stage in one of the smaller theaters for events up to 100 attendees.

Summer Showcase

Cody Willet's Focus Acting Studio at Creative Ej is a place for actors to prepare and perform. Our actors will learn basic acting techniques as we will train and lead them in their development process. Whether you are just starting out, have experience, auditioning for a featured film, television show, commercial, or trying out for the school play our classes are designed and will focus on teaching the actor at all levels. Each class is limited to 10 students allowing us to provide one on one instruction. At the end of each eight week course our acting students will perform in a live showcase.

Student Performances at Barnes & Noble
Congratulations to Alec Landry, Logan Mariner, CiCi Jansen, and Justin Farmer for outstanding performances on August 30, 2011 at the Barnes & Noble in Birkdale. Their performances were in support of the Hough High School Book Fair.
Private & Group Violin Instruction Available Now
Sandy Herrault will be available on Mondays for Private & Group Violin Instruction starting in September. Please call to schedule.
Sandy started playing violin at the age of 7. She was a dedicated student of the violin, studying under Edgar Ortenberg and playing in many Philadelphia-area student orchestras. Her love of the violin continued as she majored in violin performance at the University of West Virginia. Years later, she fell in love with Irish music, learning from fiddlers such as James Kelly. In 1998 she co-founded the band, “Celtic Soul”, and toured the East Coast for three years playing at festivals and recording two albums. She also performed with a rock/DMB cover band.
Since moving to North Carolina in 2003, Herrault has been teaching violin full-time, and until recently was performing with the band, "The Merrows", a contemporary Celtic band. She has taught music previously at an Arts Magnet High School, and area studios. She also performs a mix of Classical, Irish and Gypsy violin at weddings and other venues. Herrault has authored four books for violin students, the Smart Violin Method.

Scott Cooper, Founder of Evolution Management in Hollywood, will be coming to offer a Free Talent Masterclass to all Creative Ej Talent. He will also be auditioning people for his National Talent Showcase at Disney in Orlando. Cooper has discovered and developed celebrities such as 2010 Sports Illustrated Cover Model and star of Just Go With It - Brooklyn Decker, star of the new Beverly Hills 90210 - Jessica Stroup, and TBS sitcom star of Are We There Yet - Coy Stewart. Learn how to audition for clients and get into major markets like LA and NY. This Masterclass is for ages 4 to adults. Beginners to advanced talents are welcome. You must reserve a spot as space is limited.

Are you looking for a location for your next event? Our concert venue at The Palace is now available to rent for Video Shoots, Live Recording, CD Release Parties, Concerts, Corporate Events, Worship Activities, and more. Recording Studio at Treynorth Now Open
If you have ever wanted to record yourself, or take an audio engineering class, now is the time. We are now scheduling recording sessions for projects of all sizes, budgets, and styles of music in our digital recording studio. Examples of recording sessions can be as simple as a vocalist singing to an instrumental / karaoke type of track to a full piece band recording a CD. These are great gifts for family, friends, auditions, or even promoting your talents.

Student Bands
Creative Ej Instructors Brian Burton, Reggie Graves, Brian Jacobs and Ray Tyson are now forming new Student Bands. With our new space, we are able to have up to four bands rehearsing at one time, and have a group of instructors all working together to make the band program more of a team approach, in order to provide each band the instruction they need. Current students can contact their instructor to join a band. New students can audition for a band without signing up for private lessons. Students taking private lessons outside of Creative Ej are are always welcome to join Creative Ej bands. All ages, styles, and skill levels are welcome.

CORNELIUS, NC - Retrospect Records (Las Vegas , NV) has signed Jeff Gastineau to a recording contract to release CDs of material originally recorded in the 1980’s and early 90’s by the bands The Press, and Gastineau. The Press CD - “Words: Hot Off the Press” is available now online at www.retrospectrecords.com as well as through independent record stores.
