Creative Ej Bands
For most musicians, the thrill is making great music with other musicians. Creative Ej has several house bands in various styles that perform continuously. These bands operate under the direct supervision of the Creative Ej staff, and in the case of house bands, may even have some of our staff participate as band members.
The purpose of a Creative Ej band is to provide an ideal platform to experience music in a group setting. Participants will not only get to play with other musicians, but also learn about proper preparation and rehearsal, production, organization, and showmanship.
There are two types of bands at Creative Ej:
House Bands
Student Bands
All Creative Ej intermediate and advanced students are eligible to audition for house bands. Students of any level may join a student band. All students may attend rehearsals in order to observe the band process. Band rehearsals are held once a week in the performance theater, utilizing full lights and sound as appropriate.
In addition to the rehearsals, the Creative Ej bands perform in concerts in our performance Theater, Promotional Events, and even in outside events and concerts.
Opportunities to be involved with sound, lighting, and video exist for those wishing to learn about the production side of bands.
House Bands:
Rock band featuring music ranging from classic rock of the Beatles to current bands like Coldplay and Maroon 5
Variety band that will provide backup for various solo performers
Hard Rock and Heavy Metal ranging from Led Zeppelin through 80’s metal to Audioslave
Modern Country such as Keith Urban, Sara Evans, Tim McGraw, Sugarland, and George Strait
Contemporary Praise music by Steven Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns, and Amy Grant
Traditional and Modern Jazz
